I’m Georgina Powers — journalist, professional cynic and full-time trouble magnet.
My cousin Julian’s death is currently the talk of Mayfair. Not just because he was found hanging naked from his ceiling in silk knickers and a rubber mask, but because he’d just landed a top-secret, six-figure job with a mysterious Californian tech firm.
Then I discover his computer has been wiped clean. That’s when my curiosity kicks in. After all, what could possibly go wrong if I do a little digging?
As it turns out, quite a lot. I don’t go looking for murders to solve — really, I don’t. But they seem to find me.
