BILL ARMSTRONG

Bill comes from a long line of undertakers. Some say it shows. He ran away to the circus and after a short stint as a clown, a long career as an actor and a brief sojourn as an academic, he decided the only way to deal with the absurdity that threatened to engulf him was to write about it.

His first major series, The Indian Doctor, broke ratings records for its time slot and won a number of awards.

As happy working on long-running series as developing original ideas, he places equal emphasis on rigorous research and on the unrestrained play of an imagination forged by years of watching the world go mad around him. His greatest joy is finding the hidden voices of those whose stories would never otherwise be heard.
